Sunday's big clash between Team Se7en and Hall 16 has been postponed due to safety reasons.
Due to heavy torrential rain across Pulau Nanyang on Saturday has caused cancellation of all the IHG Champions League games on Sunday.
Numerous softball matches in the morning and 4 IHG Champions League matches today (2 of which were played in the rain) has prompted this decision, which was taken following consultation with the FAS (Football Association of Singapore). The field is not in playable condition as deemed by the FAS referees, especially after a certain mysterious team lead by Assistant Manager Pat RIce-peng, First Team Coach Boon Primorac and Captain Fiberglass ignored IHG-sanctioned closure of the field and held a rugby-styled training this morning. IHG are reportedly looking into the incident and could possible charge them.
IHG Champions League Presidents from Hall 12, Hot Chilli Tan Kum Boon & Jap Hotshot Shoshi Kudo said, "We've searched for alternate venues 3 weeks ago to prep for such an event but all the fields were booked even much earlier."
"Hence, the matches will be postponed until there are available alternate venues. The current possible alternative is the equally muddy and waterlogged Turf City field."
Manager Tohar-sene Paijan could not be reached for comments due to his involvement in the newly opened Fandi Ahmad Academy (FAA).
