"Se7en Soccer need takeover to compete with rivals"

Depleted Se7en ended a disappointing week with a 3-2 lost to Hall 2 in a pre season friendly on Sunday. Pengzema and Imranhimovic had joined Jia Xi on Se7en's absentee list at a sunny afternoon, leaving Babigas aka KT as the only recognised star player.

Se7en found it tough to break down a spirited Hall 2 side, although goalkeeper Robert GreenLun had to produce a few saves to deny Hall 2 in the first half. However, Hall 2 broke the deadlock within 20 mins of play, capitalising on Se7en's defensive mistake, with the striker sending the ball into the top corner. First half ended with a few through passes from Se7en's inspirational captain Babigas, and a great linked up play between Puyol and Emir saw Chung Chi's shot missed narrowly wide.

Se7en had the lion's share of possession and pressed forward for a winner in the second half. Yao Liang flashing a drive over the bar and Kelvinder Cole having an effort blocked out by the Hall 2 keeper. It was Hall 2 who extended the lead, with a freekick placed into the bottom left, although a much better diving effort from Robert GreenLun would have prevented the soft goal. A huge sign of relief from the big keeper as Tohari Capello was absent to see his blunder.

Se7en responded by scoring 2 back in quick succession with Yao Liang and Kelvinder Cole finishing off on the mistakes from the Hall 2 defenders. Boos and Jeers could be heard from the opposition fans in response to Kelvinder Cole's outrageous celebration.

Tempers began to fray as the tension mounted and Puyol appeared to lash out at the Hall 2's left back. However, all effort was wasted when just minutes before the final whistle.A cross from the Hall 2 winger was not dealt with, leaving Robert GreenLun stranded as the Hall 2 Striker headed the ball into the net, claiming their victory over the defending champions. The match ended 3-2.

After the game, security heightened as fans plan a march to protest against Malcom's ownership of the club, who have come under pressure from fans' groups angry at the debt and direction of Se7en. This would be a third consecutive defeat in the 3 pre season friendly that Se7en had.

Kristian Thorbjornsen, owner of the sports apparel brand THORB, is regarded as the No.1 mover and potential new owner of Se7en Soccer. It has been confirmed that Se7en Soccer have signed a new sponsorship deal with THORB and the players would be wearing the new THORB Red and Black strip home kit for the first match of the season.

Soon-to-be new owner Kristian Thorbjornsen told Se7ensoccernet.com: "Se7en requires further investment in the team to compete, and for that reason it would benefit from new owners who could invest and give the club the backing to sponsor the new jersey that it needs." Both players and fans will be relieved to see the takeover being successfully done as they had enough of Malcom's disappearing act and his smelly T-shirts.
